Kill Event Tips

Kill event happens every second Friday and Saturday as the final two days of the "Survival of fittest" event.  It happens like clockwork.

1. Shield up: Use 8 hour shields when not online.  6 will last you the 2 days attack free.  Set an alarm for when they run out.  It takes only a few minutes to refresh them... vs days making or healing new troops.  Also, donating to the alliance store is a pretty cheap way to get shields.  Plus upgrading the alliance makes you stronger also! 4800biocaps can also get you a 24hr shield

2. Check your targets: Always recon before attacking.  Share any recon before you start a rally... and give smart players the chance to avoid joining a suicide rally.   If they have a Jammer, assume they may be reinforced... it could be a trap (send a handful of low level troops to see what forces they have... worth keeping 10-15k T1 troops for the job).  Don't hit allies.  Don't hit players equal or stronger than you. don't pick on very low level players... if you remember being hit when you started, it is not fun.  Don't be that player!

3. Attackers are at a disadvantage:  the only way troops die for good in this game is if you attack a settlement.  And because most marches have fewer troops than you typical player has in their settlement, expect to loose unless you are 2-3 levels higher than your target.    Troops only die in defense if your total number of troops exceeds your hospital capacity + your enlistment office capacity. So it is good practice to not exceed the capacity of your hospital + enlistment office

3. Reinforce!: If the alliance is under attack, reinforce if you think doing so will allow us to win the fight.  Strong reinforcing can cause even very powerful attackers to leave.  Remember, reinforcing will kill more attacking troops, and no troops die in defending unless you exceed hospital capacity.  At the same time, if a low level member of the alliance has not bothered to shield all weekend, and is being attacked by a someone far higher level than you, it may just be best to let them learn the hard way...  be smart with your troops.  Fight battles you can win.

4. Rally Attackers: a good full high level rally from a leader/R4 will often repel medium level attackers; they just want easy prey.  A low level rally against a level 30 will hurt you more then them, so be smart.

5. No shields?  in an emergency, random relocate.  Or send troops to reinforce high level players, or players with shields.

6. Keep resources low: High free resources, and no shield is a great way to invite being zeroed.  Spend your resources on a big build, or build lots of hero gear, and disassemble it later for gear (you will lose some).  Or why not just donate and use shields?

7. Shields are cheaper than healing/training troops.  It is really that easy!

8. Do not zero players.  It is just bad form and gives the alliance as bad name.

9. Don't hit farm accounts: they may seem like easy targets, but "Mucke's farm" has a very powerful owner who will crush you if you touch them.  Every farm usually has a very active higher level owner... so be careful!  Actions have consequences.

10. Pick fights you can win: It is bad strategy to attack neighbors (you need to live next to them, and they can easily rally you when you sleep).  It is bad strategy to attack a stronger opponent, or members of any large alliance (top 10, even top 20).  It is a bad idea to do long distance rallies or marches that allow multiple members of an alliance to reinforce the target... and slaughter your troops by the time they arrive.

11.  Don't farm when you are offline in a KE.  Farming troops are easy targets and some people only hit farming troops in a KE.  On the flip side, you can fill up you kill event points in minutes by simply teleporting next to an alliance and quickly hitting a bunch of farms.  Just make sure the farms are not for high level players or you could be in for a surprise.  And hitting the troops of the most powerful alliance in the state is a bad idea.

12. Shields are cheaper than troops or resources lost because you were too lazy to put up a shield.
